ToughStep® is purpose designed as a firm double stick underlay for commercial environments or for natural floor coverings such as sisal, jute, coir or seagrass, where enhanced stability is essential.
Its construction is significantly stronger and denser than standard underlays, offering increased rigidity and long term resilience. This makes it ideal for natural fibre carpets, which are far less flexible than wool or synthetic options and therefore require a stable base to prevent rippling, movement or distortion. The firmer profile also means that office chairs, wheeled furniture and wheelchairs glide more easily across the floor when the system is installed using the double stick method.
